Categories are a great way to divide images in a Gallery into separate sub-groups. For a wedding, for example, you might have categories called Getting Ready, Ceremony, Reception and so on. That means your clients can jump to the Ceremony images, for example, without having to scroll through hundreds of other photos. Several weeks ago, engaged couple Janet and Chip hit the streets of New York and the Museum of Natural History with their photographer Parris Whittingham for a pre-wedding  engagement session. Spot the difference? Yes, one photo's new, one's old. One's in colour, but they're both gold. Rivers of gold! Sure, the new gold is data, but like the old gold it's hard to mine. They reckon perhaps 3,500,000,000,000 photos have been taken in human history, and maybe 3,500,000,000 of those in the last twelve months. Looking through the design workshop yesterday I discovered a book I made nearly twenty years ago. It reminded me how grateful I am to one of my mentors, the bookbinder Michael O’Brien, a man of enormous talent, insight and good humour, and without a doubt the most eccentric person I’ve ever met. We regret to say the fibre connection to our print lab has just been cut. As a consequence our FTP upload service has been disrupted and you will not be able to upload orders from Photojunction until it is repaired. Our lab team is also out of email and phone contact. Our Bindery staff are still able to communicate and Workspace is operating normally. We are moving staff between sites so that we can get tech support back up and running within an hour or so. If you've found uploading from your PC to Workspace (or other sites) is very slow, then read on.
